The Epiphone Matt Heafy Les Paul Custom-7 comes with a mahogany body, a plain maple veneer top and a mahogany neck glued in at deep-set neck joint with “Axcess” heel with a 1960’s SlimTaper “D” profile. It has an ebony fingerboard, pearloid block inlays, a 12″ radius, 22 medium jumbo frets and a 24.75″ scale length.

The Epiphone Matt Heafy Les Paul Custom-7 body top has a 7 ply white/black binding, the headstock has a 5 ply white/black binding and the fingeboard has a 1 ply white binding.

The Epiphone Matt Heafy Les Paul Custom-7 has a EMG 707 pickup in the neck and a EMG 817 pickup in the bridge, both pickups are powered by a 9 volt battery accessible on the back of the guitar. It also comes with black speed knobs, 2 volume knobs (one for the neck pickup and one for the bridge pickup) and 2 tone knobs (one for the neck pickup with KillPot, and one for the bridge pickup).

It has a Tune-o-matic-7 bridge, and the machine heads are Deluxe die-cast with black metal tulip buttons. It only comes in ebony (gloss) finish. With 9.7 lbs, the Epiphone Matt Heafy Les Paul Custom-7 is a heavy guitar.
